I really love Alter Ego polishes. They are so unique and delicate. Recently Cynthia, the maker of Alter Ego polishes has been working on perfecting their formula. They are all 4 free and camphor free and their special formula is giving them a beautiful velvet-y finish. So I was thrilled when Cynthia sent me her polishes to review! And today I would like to share the first one of them with you. This is Pencil Pusher.
Yup, that is true! And I totally love those "old" phrases.
Second thing that I totally love about this polish is... this polish.
What you see is three thin, easy coats that give complete coverage. It's a beautiful gray polish with lots of blue-ish and silver micro shimmer, and I think there's also some holographic shimmer in there. Like most Alter Ego polishes it dries into a velvet matte finish. The first photos show the polish alone, without any top coat.
In her package, Cynthia included a top coat - She Shines! So all the photos below show the polish with a coat of "She Shines!". This top coat does not dry as quick as others, but it has a beautiful shine to it. I don't know if its the gloss or the way it causes the light to break on it but my nails kept looking like they were wet. I totally loved this look. She Shines! has some coloring to it. It is not exactly color. You don't see it red on your nails. But it adds this soft light that is uniquely beautiful. I think this top coat is my new favorite!
And of course I cannot leave any polish as is, and I wanted something very delicate for this polish. So I added a couple of small stamping to it, with some tiny rhymestones and some black tipping. I hope you will also think it helped showing the beautiful delicacy of this Pencil Pusher!
