Another day - another blue! Today I have some nice matte mani for you. This is yet another blue mani in my Light It Up Blue week to raise awareness for Autism.
So what do we have here: I started with 3 coats of Gosh Cobalt Blue. It's a blue jelly or crelly, I couldn't really decide. It does have a beautiful shade of blue and its very buildable but as you can see, after 3 coats it still have a lot of VNL. The matte top coat does help in hiding it a little, but not enough. And just look at the non-mattified pictures below...
On my index, middle and pinky nails I used this awesome glitter bomb by Red Dog Designs called Be Careful It's My Heart. What you see is one coat dubbed on. This is such a delicious glitter combo of different blue, silver and chartreuse parts with silver and blue holographic glitter and micro glitter and my favorite part - blue hearts! All of those are so well suspended that you only need to dip your brush and they come out. No fishing, no hard working. Be Careful, it's my heart is part of Red Dog Designs' Ol' Blue Eyes collection, a Frank Sinatra inspired collection. By the way, just to understand how great all this glitter is suspended, let me tell you that all the non-mattified pictures have NO top coat on. And the general feel is totally flat and shiny. No protrusive parts, no gritty feeling. Just plain (plane) beauty.
On my thumb and ring nails I used some square golden studs I received for review from Born Pretty Store. I will post my thorough review of these next week but for now what I can say is that I'm LOVING them! Do check them out! (and you can get 10% discount with this code: NML91)
Next I applied Butter London Matte Finish top coat, which is definitely my most favorite matte top coat! I don't know what you think about it and I sure do hope that you like it, but I completely love this combination! Mattified glitter bomb is just THE THING for me!
