Go Pink Wednesday!

I did plan to have another post last night but it was my mother's birthday and we all went to a Romanian restaurant and had sooooo much meat... that I could barely breath when I got home. So keep a note in your list - I owe you one.
Anyway, today we begin the Go Pink Wednesday, a series of weekly pink manicures created to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. You can read all the details about it here, on the wonderful Andrea from Finger Painting Fingers's blog. Feel free to hop in too! So my first pink mani is Flamingo by The Nail Junkie.

If you follow me a little, you'd know that The Nail Junkie is one of my most favorite indie brands. I make sure I get all her collections and I was never disappointed by any of them! I really like her color combos and I love the gentle glitter. Her polishes are awesome, without being those heavy glitter bombs, which makes application - as well as removal - easy and comfortable.
Flamingo is yet another one of those. Very light pink base with beautiful shimmer, filled with translucent and white hex glitter and silvery holo micro glitter. Application is perfectly easy as usual. Two coats are definitely enough. The hexes come out with every brush stroke and you need not fish for them. You also don't need to dub to have them stay, although at second coat you might want to use much lighter strokes of the brush then me, so that  you don't accidentally pull a hex and leave a stroke mark on your nail like I impatiently have...

I really love flamingo. This polish of course, but also the real one. I tried to draw one as an accent finger but I am not sure how close to a flamingo it really looks... I used Zoya - Charisma, China Glaze - Dance Baby, Milani - White on the Spot and China Glaze - Liquid Leather.

This is brilliant for a pink themed manicure! Of course, flamingos! This never occurred to me, but all of a sudden I want a flamingo on my nails too!

Well done you!
