My holidays vacation is over and today I'm back at work... so sad... *sigh*
To cheer myself up I started the morning with a lovely pedicure. This is the first time of my life that I had one and I must say - I LOVE it! I enjoyed being spoiled and pampered so much, and now my legs feel so light as if I'm walking on cotton wool. True pleasure!
And to add to the cotton wool feeling I decided to wear
The Nail junkie's Candy Corn on my hand nails. My day cannot get any better! (considering the fact that i'm at work)

The Nail Junkie - Candy Corn indoors under artificial lighting. |
Candy Corn is a lovely milky white base, not quite creme but not completely jelly, with lots of matte yellow and matte red hexes. It applies smooth and easy and the glitter is filling each and every stroke. Two coats are not 100% opaque but being white base makes the nail line almost invisible. It dries quickly and just like any of The Nail Junkie's polishes the glitter is very well suspended in the base and there are no curling or other weird behavior issues. One coat of Seche Vite completes this sweetly beautiful look.

I knew exactly what design I wanted to stamp on my accent nail but when I first tried it last week, I just couldn't make this design show properly. I tried everything I could! I cleaned the plate and the stamper with pure acetone. I filed the stamper, I tried to hold the plate in different angles, I tried more pressure, I tried less pressure - nothing worked! Being so frustrated I decided to ask some blogger friends for advice. They all gave this plate a try and said it was working perfectly! I figured mine was defective or something and I was ready to give up. Then the awesome Silver from the
Silverinator.com blog suggested that I file the scrapper. It sounded strange at the moment but I was willing to try everything! And guess what? IT WORKED! This one is worth noting!!! Than you so much Silver

Love Candy Corn! (well not the actual candy, but this polish - the actual candy is from the devil!)
Love Candy Corn! And that was a nice tip from Silver! I don't think I would have ever thought to file the scraper!! I have some designs that are like this one you described and can't get them to work no matter WHAT I have tried. I will have to give this a shot some time.
Totally reminds me of candy corn!!
File the scaper, huh... I totally forgot about the filing trick!! I had major issues with transferring images from my mega cheeky plate and I wish I had remembered about filing... I got a dumb question: how did you file the scraper, just straight across the scraping edge or almost parallel to it to sharpen up the edge?
Looks great! I loooove candy corn colors! And that's the cutest bloody stamp I've ever seen! :D
Awwwwww!!!! It looks way better in red and in context now!!!! lol. Beautiful nails, Jin. LOVE the candy corn colours on you <3
What a fun polish! Love it!
And yay for Silver's tip! I'm glad you figured out what was giving you the trouble. :D
