Brute Jumping Jellyfish

I don't really know what's getting me into this but recently my hand is drawn to blue polishes. More and more blue polishes... So today I would like to show you a couple of gorgeous Blues: Brute by Mentality and Jumping Jellyfish by Sea Lore.

I started this mani with one coat of Mentality - Brute, a gorgeous bright deep Royal Blue from the Ombre Matte collection. If you like blue nail polish, make sure you add Brute to your collection. It is a MUST!!! Application is easy (did I say one coat?) formula is perfect and the matte finish is just gorgeous.

Then I decided to apply Sea lore Jumping Jellyfish on it. Jumping Jellyfish is from Sealore's Spring Seas collection and it is a beautiful cerulean blue jelly with blue dots and light blue hexes. I wasn't sure about this combo at first and considered it as just a try. But I ended up really liking the way the matte finish looked under the glitter.

I also tried to keep the matte finish by applying Butter London Matte top coat to it.

But then I figured I needed to add something. Sometimes I just add too much until I hate the final result but somehow, I really liked this end mani.
First I applied two coats of top coat, to create a tiny clear layer between the nails and the drawing, so that it would look a little bit floating. Then I drew the jellyfish (in case you couldn't recognize...) using some light and hot pink nail art pens (some no-names that I got off eBay) and then I added another coat of Essence Gel-look, a super shiny top coat (Thanks for the idea, Danielle!!!)

Well, usually when I like a mani, no one else does. So I don't expect many comments on this one, but... I really do like it! I love the glitter combo of Jumping Jelly and to me the final result look rather...wet. That is a good thing in my book ;-)
So at least... I hope you don't hate it...

As you know, my favourite colour is blue, I like all shades of blue! So, you needed just one guest post on my blog and now also you are "infected" and feel the need to buy more and more blue polishes! :-)
Brute is really beautiful, I like it also in combination with Jumping Jellyfish :-)
About the final effect of the manicure: I like it! The jellyfish seems really jelly, just like in real life... :-)
