January Nail Art Theme Week: Follow a tutorial, day 5 - Giraffe

I saved my favorite post for last. Today is the last post of this month's Nail Art Theme Week, and the theme is Follow A Tutorial. The tutorial I chose to follow for today, just like the one from yesterday, is one by Jacki of Adventures In Acetone. It's one that I was dying to try for such a long time, but totally dreaded it wouldn't turn out as nice as it should... But guess what? I tried it - and it actually worked! Maybe not as perfect as the original, but it is definitely a cute mani!

January Nail Art Theme Week: Follow a tutorial, day 4 - Yeti

For today's post I followed an older tutorial by Jacki of Adventures In Acetone. However, last night she posted this adorably cute Yeti manicure with a tutorial, and I knew I just HAD to try it right away! Of course, I feel the same pretty much about every design Jacki comes up with. But the winter and the tutorial week context were just too strong to miss.

January Nail Art Theme Week: Follow a tutorial, day 1: Owls

Hello beautifuls and Happy New Year!!!
I hope you all had a fabulous time in the holidays and you got your chance to rest some and enjoy some and do your nails a lot!
I am so sorry for abandoning you like that in the last couple of weeks, but I promise you all that I have been working on something real exciting that you will very very soon hear about! In the meantime, let's begin 2014 with the Nail Art Theme Week, and this month we're following some tutorials.

33 Days Challenge - Day 21: Europe

Today's theme in the 33DC is Europe. I am not sure I like those hugely general themes. I mean - a country could be easier. But a whole continent? woah........ But then I received my Elevation Polish order and I knew exactly what Europe is to me!

Dead Man's Party at the River Rock

As you can see I am having some difficulties letting the Halloween go. So here's another mani in the dark spirit.

33 Days Challenge - Day 17: artwork featuring my favourite brand

So half the challenge has passed right now. How awesome is that?
Today the 33DC requires featuring my favorite brand. If you have been following me a little, you'd know my favorite brand has to be an indie brand. Not that I don't like main stream brands, but indies just shake it better. Hands off. However, Picking just one however is simply impossible. So my artwork today features two of my all times most favorite brands of nail polish. The Nail Junkie and Elevation Polish. Oh - and Halloween.

33 Days Challenge - Day 13: Chinese

So today there's another culture/country inspired mani in the 33DC. It's strange, especially after just finishing the Where In The World challenge... And very hard too. And today, for the Chinese inspiration I needed some peace and quiet.

33 Days Challenge - Day 3: tape mani

I like this challenge's pace. I can breath every other day and plan my next entry. Much easier then last year's 30 Days challenge where I had to create an entry daily. Although I might do that one again later. Anyway, today's entry in the 33DC is Tape mani, which also turned to be one of my favorite techniques, so do be warned - you will see lot's of tape manis in this challenge. But today's is a very simple one.

My Almost TPC September Entry

If you have been following me a while, you would know that I play along in The Crumpet's Tri Polish Challenge every month. And the month of September requires the combo Lilac, Pink and Blue. So I picked my polishes and created this entry and then realized that I already used two of the colors in previous months' entries. So I re-picked my polishes for the challenge and you get to see this entry out side of the regular monthly challenge posts.

Fail on my way to The Mani Logues Guest Post

So yesterday I showed you my guest post at The Mani Logues, in honor of Casandra's new baby girl. But that was only my second attempt, because my first attempt at that mani ended as a fail. I didn't think of posting it at first, but then I figured we can both learn from it.

Elevation Polish - Echinops and a One Stroke attempt

I am trying over and over and I just can't seem to nail this One Stroke technique. Well, I will keep on trying, but for now, here's a very very simple mani using this technique in its most basic form...

Elevation Polish - Higravstinden

You might remember my Guest Post at Raggio di Luna blog last week. I did this water marble using 3 shades of blue Elevation Polish: Dykh-Tau, Pic De Sotllo, and Higravstinden (aka Hig). I already swatched the first two in my blog (linked from the names above), so I figured it was time I swatched Hig as well.

Water Marble for Raggio-di-Luna

Hello beautifuls!
Today I am so honored and proud to let you know that I am a guest poster at Raggio di Luna Nails blog! I really love Tanja's art and I was really excited when she asked me to do a guest post a while back. So I knew I wanted to do a water marble, and I knew it had to be in shades of Blue-Green, and I am pretty happy with the mani I came up with!
So please go over to Raggio di Luna Nails blog and check it out. And while you're there - like her! Trust me - you won't be sorry!!!

Blue Flowers

Today I have yet another Elevation Polish to show you. I don't know how it happened that I have been using Elevation Polish so often lately, but I truly do enjoy them so much! And today I would like to show you a Limited Edition polish, part of a special Duo called The Geo Duo. These flowers were stamped over Dykh-Tau.

A quick Elevation Marble

Today is a quicky post of a quicky mani. I know it may sound strange to call a water marble - a quicky mani but this was really a quick one!

Elevation Polish - from Mount Cangyan to Rue Manin

It's been a while since I wore purple. I think it's very sad because I love the color in all it's shades and I have tons of purple polishes, so I decided it's time, so today I have two purple polishes to show you!
