So just yesterday I showed you this gorgeous rich brown holo by Nabi. I totally love it! I wore it for two days straight! Imagine that! This hardly ever happens! But then I removed it this morning and.... my nails remained reddish brown! and not in a nice way :-(

I admit, I didn't use any base coat. And I have a UV gel coat on my nails as a protective layer and maybe it absorbed the color more this time, but still.... I have never had any other nail polish that stained this bad!

That red dot on my ring nail is where I had the metal stud over my polish. 

So far I only tried two of the Nabi holos - the one I showed you - Black Berry (#16) and Ocean Blue (#06), a gorgeous turquoise color that did NOT stain at all. So this means each one is slight different and needs a separate test and care. But I thought you should all know that and be prepared. As I try the rest of them, I will let you know how each one works. But that will take some time I'm afraid... 

An answer to some of the questions: Since several people asked, I will answer here.
Yes the Gel is still on my nails in this picture, and I believe that most of the stains will be off when I soak the gell off. I didn't do it yet because it's pretty new and I don't like to do the whole process in less then 2 weeks time. However, I did think it was important to show, because most people don't have the privilege of renewing the surface of their nail every month ;-)

It's no secret that I love holo! Well who doesn't? Pure rainbows on your nails and you don't even need it to rain! Such beautiful magic. A trend that simply refuses to fade out. So today I have yet another holo polish to show you! This is from the new collection by Nabi Hologram - Black Berry.

Ohhhh finally this month is over! It wasn't the best month for me and I am soooo happy to see it go! And since we're talking about it, let me tell you that the next month will be better! And it will also bring my birthday so you better watch this space here for some extra surprises ;-) That's all I can say right now!

So let's move to nail polish. The last entry for this month's Tri Polish Challenge is here! I am not crazy about it, but then again - I think my color choice was not ideal...

My niece's fifth birthday was on Saturday and I had to have pink in my nails. She loves pink! So Shimmer Jelly Strawberry was the obvious choice. After several trials and errors I decided to combine the shimmer with some Matte, and Cashmere Night immediately popped into my head. This was my end result, but I got there not without some more trials and errors...

Today I am wearing a super gorgeous nail polish! And since it was so beautiful, I decided to give it a golden star! And it all turned out really nice when you look at it in person, but in the photos it's just... not coming through. I tried, believe me I did. But I couldn't get a decent picture of it that will show you the true beauty of this mani... So you will have to do with what I got. Say hello to Above The Curve - Risen Angel.

I honestly don't have a reason but I am just feeling blue. Dark blue even. So I picked the most suiting nail polish - Rain Storm by Sinful Colors. At least it would give me a good reason for the blues... But as I applied this polish, I felt it was too heavy and I had to lighten it up some. So I ended up with this mani:

For the second day of this month's Tri Polish Challenge I decided to try my first argyle nails. so this is my entry with Blue, Red and Grey with added white today,

The month of May is Celiac Awareness month. I don't know how much you know of the Celiac disease but I can tell you that it's a lot more then just Gluten allergy. This disease is actually very close to me. It is quite common around me and I have quite a few, family and friends, who deal with this disease. The Celiac is an autoimmune digestive disease that is damaging the ability to absorb much needed nutrients from the food. What happens in Celiac is that every time the body consumes gluten, its causing the body to attack itself and damage the small intestines. People with Celiac are usually in undernourishment condition that is affecting the body in many different ways. It is too often mistakenly diagnosed as simple eating disorder and not treated right until the undernourishment condition becomes a life threaten.

Please do read some more and learn about Celiac. Make sure you are not suffering from it and if you suspect anyone you know is having Celiac, please make sure they go check it properly before it's too late! 

And to raise some more awareness to Celiac, I painted my nails yellow and green.  

Yup, that time of the month again: The Crumpet's Tri Polish Challenge. And for the month of May, the colors are Blue, Red and Grey.

How do you choose which nail polish you want to wear? I suppose a lot of you choose the same way I do - by the mood. And I am in the mood for plums. I don't know if it's the weather that hints the very soon arrival of the plums or if i'm just hungry, but I find myself turning to the plum colors again and again recently. So here's another beautiful plum colored holo. This is Pretty Jelly - Plum In Love, and am I in love alright!

A second post for today. Whdaya know... But I wanted to share with you a new item I just got to try. This is NailNation 3000 cuticle oil.

A rather short post for you tonight as I go to see the final episode of The Vampire Diaries. 

This is Wicked Polish, a new to me brand that I decided to try. I can't say it dropped me off my feet, but it's nice. The polish I have on now is called Black Lung and it's a black and holographic glitter in a black jelly base. 

Since I don't live in the US, I am not a big fan of polish brands that don't ship internationally. But thankfully, I have some real amazing friends in the US who can "mule" polishes to me sometimes. This is how I managed to put my hands on this lovely polish that I want to show you today. This is Cat's Eye by Pretty Jelly.

So I told you already - at first I thought this was a horrible trend. And then I tried it on... and fell in love! So it's clear that I'm going to have to play with the textures around some more! For today I have a textured gradient for you. It's very subtle but I think I like it. I just managed to ruin it with the wrong stamping LOL

Hello beautiful people!!! I am so sorry I have been absent this week. I really didn't mean to but you know... life always get in the way of the fun, Isn't it? But I try not to dwell in it too much. I am here now and that's what important, right?

So Jennifer of Jen's Nail Files reached a huge milestone of 2,000 likes of her facebook page, so she is celebrating with a nail art contest. The idea is to take inspiration for some nail art from one of Darling Diva Polishes! Think of one of her polishes' name and represent it in a nail art. So here's my entry, inspired by Dangerous Driver:

May 10th is World Lupus Awareness Day. Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). It can range from mild to life-threatening and should always be treated by a doctor. Lupus strikes mostly women. But men, children, and teenagers can develop lupus too.

My friend Michelle has Lupus and recently suffered from it so much that she had to stay in the hospital for several days. In 4 days she suffered 27 seizure! Michelle says: "A common misconception is that most people with lupus aren't sick because they don't look sick. This misconception goes for all invisible illnesses but in my experience, I was close to death twice now with lupus and even my family couldn't believe it because "I didn't look sick enough" for them".  You can read more of Michelle's story here. Remember this gorgeous orange polish by NailNation 3000 that I showed you a couple of days ago? Originally I planned to use it together with today's polish in a nail art. Especially since it was practically a one coater! But alas, my bottle smashed to the floor and broke. Of course I re-ordered it but I will have to postpone my original nail art idea to when the new bottle gets here. In the meantime I will still show you my original intended polish but in a different nail art combo. So this nail art is based on NailNation 3000 Glow Worm.

Today is World Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day. This is a vicious type of cancer that is not very easily diagnosed on time. So raising any sort of awareness and send you to check up and make sure you're ok is the most important thing today! Do that please!

Today I want to show you one of my all-times biggest lemming: Dior Liquorice, and I finally got my hands on thanks to the one and only polish angel - Kim of The Ides Of Polish. Kim is by far the luckiest girl on earth. Her abilities in finding HTF polishes are beyond amazing! So she found and sent me Dior Liquorice and I could mark what used to be my number one lemming as "Present!". Thank you so much Kim!

Today I needed something very royal on my hands. I was too tired and un-motivated to do anything and I needed a quick lift-me-up! So I went with the new Rescue Beauty Lounge polish from her Emoting Me collection - Pause.

So you all know that Gosia is attempting her climb on mount Everest. I mentioned it here and there before. And today she's suppose to be back from her second rotation to camp 3. She's suppose to go all the way down to base camp and rest before her summit bid. I am reading everything I can about it all the time and I am so nervous about how things are going. So I decided to go with Everest as my honor mani, to welcome Gosia on Base camp. 

Good evening! Are you enjoying your Friday? Are you doing anything exciting you can recommend? Climbing the Everest maybe? Haha, I kill me sometimes! But seriously, do you check on Gosia from time to time? She's suppose to be on her second rotation now, which means that pretty soon she will be getting to the summit, if weather permits! I am too excited for her! And in our last conversation she did ask me to wear an orange polish. So I decided to listen (for a change) and actually do it. However, this didn't end quite as I expected it to... 

Finally the end of the week is here. I am completely exhausted but so happy that I actually made it through another hectic week without calling in sick! YAY!
