Phew, this was hard. I couldn't find a pattern at home that is not in my wardrobe for today's posy in the 33DC. But the wardrobe pattern entry is only in 3 weeks so I didn't want to "waste" that one yet. And after a lot of thinking it suddenly hit me: Here's the almost most important pattern in my house.
So in case you have other storage in your house and couldn't recognize my inspiration, this pattern is based on my Helmers, my nail polish storage.
I started with two coats of Bondi New York Horny Mistress, a beautiful dark red super glossy crelly from the Spring & Summer '13 collection. This polish has an excellent formula that applies like jelly except it is extremely pigmented. Two thin coats is all you need for complete opacity and deep color. A third coat only deepens the color as it does for jellies. The swatches show only two coats of Horny Mistress with no top.
After starting to stripe my nails I realized I couldn't have them all red. It is indeed the exact red color of my Helmers but I also have off white ones too. And I didn't think it was fair for them to not be represented. So I used Zoya Jacqueline that I showed you a few days ago, as my accents. This is the color of my off-white Helmers.
For the stripes I used Orly Rockin' Robin, a dark shimmery gray and the drawers' handles are Barry M - silver Foil Effect.
So do you have a Helmer too? ;)
