A little while ago, a nice lady from Incoco Nail Polish Appliqué asked me if I was willing to review their Nail Polish Appliqués. But when I gave her my address, she sadly told me that they could not offer international shipping at that time. Then, yesterday, I had this cute little package in the mail, with 3 sets of Nail Polish Appliqués and a card saying they sent me a complimentary gift. So first thing I can say about Incoco Appliqués is - they now ship Internationally! YAY! Now let's get on with the review, shall we?
With Incoco however, I had a wonderful surprise! They are extra thin but extra flexible. You can stretch them gently and they will cover your entire nail! But if you have some leftovers, you can clean it with your favorite clean up brush and some acetone!
if you got a little bubble of air under the applique, just pull it up gently and re-apply. Stretch while you do so and the bubbles are all gone. And the bottom line? It is so easy to apply!
So in that elegant envelope you have two lines, each of 8 nail appliques in different sizes. You chose the one closest to your nail size. But you still have enough backups in case you mess up.
First - remove the clear coat that covers the applique.
Then, gently remove the applique itself from the cardboard, while holding the rectangle slip.
According to the official instructions, you're supposed to cut off that slip so you can decide which side fits your nail beds better. But I was too lazy and not careful enough to take the chance of ruining it all, so I used that slip for holding the applique until it was applied to my nail properly.
Place the applique and press it gently to your nail. I like to apply it by aligning it with one side of my nail and smooth it towards the middle of the nail. Then, if you have a feeling that it might not get all the way to the other side of the nail, this is where you can gently strech and pull it, to cover everything.
When you have your entire nail covered, from side to side, pull the rest of the stripe towards the tips of your nails while making sure that you remove all the air bubbles. Don't worry, it really is very very easy to do. It's not as complicated as I may make it sound... ;-)
Then all you have left is file or cut (I prefer cutting) the extra material off - make sure you did any needed clean up - and you're good to go.If you're as sloppy as I am (sorry mom...), in 5 minutes you have a nice, complete manicure that doesn't even need to dry! The whole process took me 5 minutes, from opening the envelope to having both hand applied. I know I didn't apply it perfectly and I know that in these close up photographs it is very easy to see where I messed it. But honestly, who's looking at your nails so close? And for 5 minutes I think they worth every penny!
I was so happy that I had a chance to try Incoco Nail Appliques! I know I will be using them again! I think it's a perfect thing to keep in your drawer for that time when you only have 5 minutes to organize yourself, and you cannot afford to spend the time on waiting for that nail polish to dry. And when you need to remove it? Simply use your favorite nail polish remover. It is as easy as removing any creme nail polish. Oh, it actually *IS* a creme nail polish... ;-)
