Today in the Where In The World Challenge I am taking you to Japan. One of the countries I MUST visit! I have heard so much about it and I have seen so many photos and visiting Japan is very high on my bucket list!
But in the meantime, I got some inspiration for my mani from Japanese Culture, Or to be exact - from Sanrio, a Japanese company that designs, licenses and produces products focusing on the kawaii (cute) segment of Japanese popular culture.

All these characters were designed by Sanrio. If you are not familiar with them, here's a little legend fr you. Thumb to pinky you can see Sweet Coron, Keroppi, Hallo Kitty, Chococat and Badtz - Maru.
I started this mani with 2 coats of Summer Skies by 6 Harts Polish, a beautiful light blue polish with glorious gold and green shimmer. Perfect polish for the summer, very pretty and elegant with wonderful formula and amazing finish.
I then added those little grass hills with Bondi New York - The Limelight, a bright green that somehow turned to be a favorite of mine this summer.
Then I freehanded the little characters with some acrylic paints.
I am really happy with how this mani turned out. It might not be perfect but I think it's adorable. Besides, I got approved by my nieces (3 and 5) who ADORE Kitty! So that's all I needed! ;-)
And only 4 more countries to go!!!

I love Hello Kitty and friends. I think Badtz-Maru is the cutest little penguin ever. The bad boy of the bunch, isn't he adorable? I wish my nails were long enough to wear this manicure. You are very talented.
