So you all know that
Gosia is attempting her climb on mount Everest. I mentioned it here and there before. And today she's suppose to be back from her second rotation to camp 3. She's suppose to go all the way down to base camp and rest before her summit bid. I am reading everything I can about it all the time and I am so nervous about how things are going. So I decided to go with
Everest as my honor mani, to welcome Gosia on Base camp.
I started this mani with two coats of
Everest by
Elevation Polish. I thought it was most suiting not just because of the name, but because it was the actual Mount Everest inspiring this polish, as Lulu - Elevation Polish maker - is herself a Mountaineer. Besides, Everest is such an incredible polish. It is a beautiful brown polish filled with fine holographic shimmer. This polish is making me think so many warm and happy thoughts and I hope so much that they are wrapping Gosia with care and good feeling up there.

I then used another amazing Elevation Polish - Muztagh Ata, a denim blue holographic polish that is part of Lulu's "The View From The Top" collection. I sponged it on the tips of my nails to create some sort of rough gradient. I didn't really care for the order of the polishes. I mean - while the blue can represent the sky and the brown can represent the mountain, I think that at 23,600 feet (that's how high Camp 3 is!) it really doesn't matter. You are pretty much as high as the sky.

Oh, I got carried away with my thoughts and forgot all the technicalities: well both polishes have a wonderful formula, easy to work with and deliciously pigmented. No issues to report except this brilliant shine in the sun! I stamped two accent nails just cause I liked these floral shapes but I really am wondering how much flora there is this high...
So I hope you will all join me in sending some good vibes to Gosia and pray for her safe return!
