A couple of days ago I showed you my "Almost entry" for The Crumpet's Tri Polish Challenge. Today is the day I need to show you the real entry. The colors for September are Lilac, Pink and Blue and the polishes I picked are Elevation Polish Tavan Bogd, China Glaze - Pink-IE Promise and Mentality - Scalawag.
I started this mani with two coats of China Glaze Pink-ie Promise, a nice, antique pink creme with very shy magenta shimmer. I tried to get this shimmer to show but I simply couldn't. It is so subtle but still very beautiful. Application was easy, formula was a little bit thick but still manageable and opacity is achieved within the usual 2 coats. It has a beautiful glossy finish. I have a very mature feeling wearing this color. It is not the common sweet bubble gum pink in my opinion! With that lace-like sticker that I used I had very difficult times. It would wrinkle and move and won't stay put! Took me a long time and two coats of top coat (Seche Vite) to convince it to lay roughly flat on my nails... As for the lilac area - I painted that before applying the sticker, using some tape to not have it cover too much nail. And the blue - I wasn't sure if I needed that at all, but since I was already upset with that lace sticker , I figured I can't get it any worse then it already is. So I dotted just a few blue dots and I can say I actually used all three polishes for this entry. LOL
