Day 3 of the January Nail Art Theme Week begins with a bit of a drama.
I am sure you have heard by now the story of the nail art thief MissJenFabulous. If you want more details, I can recommend two written-from-the-heart posts. One by Sheila of Pointless Cafe and another by Lucie of Lucy's Stash. But I'm not really going into this now. Why am I mentioning this you ask? Well, here's my problem: I could not find the origin of the tutorial I followed today. I fruitlessly searched the web for hours and I am still in the dark. So if anyone knows the origin of this tutorial - please point me to it so I can give the artist credit!

Of course, here's the original tutorial, that was one of the first pins I discovered in Pinterest, and decided I needed to try it one day.
For this one I used Jade Delirio Rosa, Nail Nation No Rest For The Wicked and Dance Legend Robots Vs. Humans. I removed it right after taking this photo. This is how much I hated it.
Then I tried another version. This time it is heavier, but I liked it more.
For this one I used ILNP Nostalgia, Enchanted Polish Mr. Burgundy and Julie G. Black Sheep and White Orchid. It may not be as perfect as the original, but this mani did hold a whole day. And just so you can enjoy the extreme effect of ILNP Nostalgia, here are a couple more pictures.
And until tomorrow...

This is adorable! You are very talented and the cats are so cute. I don't know the original artist either, but I do know that Cajanails posted a similar manicure a year ago on her you tube page. I have been following her for a few years and she has some beautiful manicures! I'll include a link to her post https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tyunr10Mhlk.
Gorgeous manicure! I love cat manicures and I think this looks great, you chose a beautiful colour combo, its so unusual and striking! :) xx

Well, it seems that you will have to try the third time! LOL! :-) Maybe you could try with some sunset gradient and little cats watching the sun go down? :-)
